Suffering from Shin Splints?

Shin splints is a general term used to describe pain in the front of the lower leg. The pain can be caused by a number of different things, such as too much running, poor foot alignment, or weak muscles.

If you’re experiencing shin splints, it’s best to see a doctor to determine the cause of the pain and to get advice on how to treat it. In most cases, however, treatment will involve reducing activity level until the pain subsides, then slowly increasing activity again. Additionally, it’s important to make sure your shoes are in good condition and that you’re wearing appropriate arch supports. If necessary, you may also need to see a physical therapist for instruction on exercises that can help strengthen your muscles.
